I can't read those types of articles. I have muted those writers in my feed. They write them because "if it bleeds, it leads." I think most of us understand the problems in the world but feel helpless to change them. I have enough stress without being further triggered. That isn't hiding, it's self-preservation.

I have a friend on FB who is constantly on some social/political kick and I had to hide her too. Yeah, we get it. The world is unjust. Why keep beating a dead horse? You are just making yourself miserable.
