My First Supervisor Was a Serial Killer
They called her “The Black Widow”
My first job was working as a cashier at a local grocery store. I was just a normal college kid who had no idea my supervisor was a serial killer.
As an 18-year-old on her first job, I was happily oblivious to company politics, much less the personal drama in Blanche Taylor Moore’s life.
She was well-liked by customers, and her public persona was that of a “good Christian woman.”
But, I remember several of the bag boys saying that they felt uncomfortable around her. She was just a little too affectionate for their liking.
Blanche often brought in food to work to share with co-workers. It was an act of kindness that chilled them to the bone when she was linked to a string of arsenic laced food murders.
Thankfully, I never ate anything she made.
There was tension between her and the other women who worked at the customer service desk. I figured it was because she was their supervisor.
Little did I know, there was so much more drama going on underneath the surface.
