Yes, this. I masked and isolated for 2 years while my mother descended into dementia. If I had it to do over again, I would have said, "Screw it," and spent more time with her because none of it mattered. She got COVID anyway. Pre and post vaccine. She's had it twice and been asymptomatic both times. But the vaccine made her ill for 2 months. They just asked me if I wanted her to have a booster. Hell, NO! It would probably kill her. I am vaxxed and boosted. I haven't had it. I don't think I will get another booster.
