You aren't wrong. I enjoy reading interesting blog posts, but at least a third of my feed consists of articles about Medium. I mute every writer who does this and they keep appearing. I feel like my brain is rotting. And all the work I put in for maybe a dozen reads and $20 a month? It's not worth it. I'm not renewing my membership when my year is up. Instead, I'm going to pursue my idea for a novel. I'll never know if I don't try.
